The Parramatta Cumberland Basketball Association (PCBA) – also known as Cumberland Basketball – has been developing players, building teams and growing the game across the Parramatta region for decades. PCBA is proudly housed at the Camellia Indoor Sports Centre, 9 Grand Avenue, Camellia NSW 2142, and both PCBA and Camellia Indoor are managed by Sydney Sports Management Group (SSMG).

Whether you’re a five-year-old picking up a basketball for the first time, a teenager chasing a representative jersey, or an adult who just loves the game, there’s a place for you at PCBA. At PCBA, basketball is for everyone – all ages, all abilities and all backgrounds. From your very first dribble to high-performance representative colours, PCBA offers a structured pathway so every player can learn, progress, compete and reach their full potential on and off the court.

Junior Basketball Academy

PCBA’s Junior Basketball Academy is where young players build foundations that last a lifetime. Led by BNSW Club Accredited Academy Coaches, the academy delivers tiered development – Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced – with position-specific skill sessions, shooting labs and specialist intensives.

Young ballers move from introductory programs like Rookies and Mini Ballers up to the advanced Chargers Academy levels and competitive play, developing coordination, confidence, basketball IQ and a genuine love of the game.

PCBA is committed to growing the game for girls. With inclusive, welcoming programs such as Court Queens and mixed grassroots sessions, girls of every age and ability can develop their skills in a supportive environment, make friends, build confidence and progress all the way to representative basketball.

The ultimate off-season competition to keep players sharp for representative trials. Divisions U12–U20, exclusive uniforms, PCBA rep coaches, and games every Tuesday & Thursday across an eight-week season – competing exclusively against other representative-level players.

The Cumberland Chargers – Representative Pathway

Aspiring to play at a higher level? The Cumberland Chargers are PCBA’s representative teams competing in the NBL1 pathway and state-level competitions. With talent identification, invite-only development squads and elite training environments, PCBA gives every committed player a clear route from local competition to representative honours.
