School gala days in 2027: how to book a venue in Parramatta
Rain-proof courts, buses arranged for you and six sports to choose from. Here’s how sport coordinators can lock in a stress-free gala day for 2027.
Ask any school sport coordinator about outdoor gala days and you’ll hear the same story. The forecast changes, the fields close and weeks of planning go out the window.
An indoor venue removes that risk. Here’s how to plan and book a gala day at Camellia Indoor Sports Centre for 2027.
What you can run
- Sports: basketball, pickleball, volleyball, futsal, netball and gymnastics.
- Formats: gala days, venue hire, group coaching and tailored multisport programs.
- Who for: primary and secondary schools.
The venue has also hosted martial arts, dance and wheelchair sports, so inclusive programs are welcome too.
Why indoors makes life easier
- No wet weather cancellations. The date you book is the date you play.
- Everything in one place. Courts, a cafe and space for bags and spectators.
- Easy supervision. One building is easier to manage than spread-out fields.
- Transport sorted. Through partners, Camellia can arrange a bus service for students and teachers.
A simple planning checklist
- Pick your sport or mix of sports.
- Confirm student numbers and how many teams.
- Choose two or three possible dates.
- Decide if you need coaching or umpires, or just the courts.
- Ask about the bus service if you need transport.
- Send the enquiry form so the team can build a proposal.
Many schools plan next year’s sport calendar late in the year. Send an enquiry now to get first pick of 2027 dates.
